Aug 14 to 19th I had the pleasure of fishing with my son, Brandon, my friends Ron Jones and Jacqui Mancao from Hawaii, Graham Brady, Mary and Ferd Bouzane on board the Anna Christine. We were treated to an incredible fishing experience and the unbelievable beauty of the Douglas Channel hosted by Captain Rick Rottluff and his daughter Kim. Kim is a very pretty young lady who is developing excellent culinary skills and possesses a wonderful smile. The trip was filled with fun, laughter, and fabulous fine dining. Our compliments to Kim for preparing some of the most delicious meals imaginable. When we weren’t dining or recovering from over eating, our Skipper put us onto some incredible fishing spots. The key to success in fishing the Douglas Channel is to have a good Captain. We had an excellent Captain and the proof is in the coolers.
We caught a ton of fish but it was the entire experience that was so memorable. The spacious luxury of a 60' yacht that that sleeps up to 8 friends and relatives. The whales and porpoises visiting almost daily. Fine dining on fresh Crab, Prawns and fish...right out of the water. Anchoring in bays with water like glass and back drops of majestic rock faces. Most of all, the fun and laughter of good friends and family.
This is a fishing experience that every angler should experience with their closest friends and family once in a lifetime. A huge Thank You to Captain Rick and Kim Rottluff for a page in our history book of life that we will never forget!

I am always amazed by the stock abundance and the breathtaking beauty of the Douglas Channel.
Halibut continues to be the shining star of this year's fishing season. It has been one the best Halibut season's in some time and looks like it will continue.
Coho fishing is exceptional and a few larger Chinook are still being caught. Smart money says. "Get out fishing while the fishing is Good!"
